Zamalek officials singed The Ghanaian international defensive midfielder Abdul Rahim Ayew to join Zamalek football team for the next season Monday night, officially for a period of five years for 400 K Euros, after officials confirmed that the player injury is a normal and can be treated in three weeks .
"Rahim" Ayew (born 27 September 1985 in Tamale) is the oldest son of Ghanaian former footballer Abedi Pele

Zamalek Handball team celebrating
Zamalek handball team won the African Championship Cup yesterday for the second time in Zamalek History in this championship and the first had been granted in 1985. Zamalek defeated the Cameroonian Minoh club at the final game with a score 31 \ 28 in a match attended by more than 10 thousand fans in the Benin capital Cotonou. Zamalek volleyball team celebrating
Zamalek volleyball team won the cup of the 2009 Men’s African Club Championship for the second time in row and for the fourth time in Zamalek history of the competition since its birth in 1984 following their thriller victory over their rivals Al Ahly in the final that was held at Abdalla El Faysal Hall in Al Ahly club in Cairo in front of 5000 spectators who were kept on their toes for 2 hours, on Friday night. Zamalek repeated the victory over their compatriots for the second year in a row after they achieved the same in the last competition in Misurata, Libya 2008

With full control but no goals scored, Zamalek and Ahly drawn in the Cairo derby at the Military Academy Stadium in the game between Cairo rivals prosponded from the twenty-fifth week of the Egyptian Premier League. Although Zamalek had seemed that he started to form a defensive game but he was fully controlling the game with many chances lost by Zamalek youth players led by Captain Abdul wahid Alsayed the goalkeeper , Ahmed Magdy, Amr Adel and Mahmoud Fathallah in the line of defense with Sabery Rahil and Hazem Imam and the two wings, Ahmed Al-Merghany, Hani Said and Ahmed Abdul Rauf in the midfield, Abdel Halim Ali and Sharif Ashraf in attack.
Zamalek Youth players were the most serious and take control of this game and ended the first half with almost no competition from Ahly side, Zamalek first chance was a superb skills from Zamalek youth star Hazem Imam Jr. in the 5th minute, but saved by goalkeeper Ramzi Saleh. Zamalek continues pressing During Halim Ali and Ashraf who failed to score an easy goal after a weak shot outside the penalty area.
The first half, was totally for Zamalek, who took control of the game, and succeeded in launching more attacks from the right side through Hazem Emam Jn. - Man of the game-.

Midfielder Merghany gets beaten by Police officers !!

In a very strange incidence at (Arab Constructors stadium) Zamalek midfielder Ahmed El Merghany was beaten by police officers while he was trying to get into the stadium to support his fellow players at their return match against Arab Constructors team within 26th week games of the Egyptian Premier league.
It starts with police officers forcing Merghany not to park his car in the stadium car park and insists to leave it outside, which player did not mind, but on his way back to the stadium few police officers gathered to prevent Merghany from entering the stadium which he did not accept claiming he has the right to enter to support his team, at this moment the group of police officers went mad, starts beaten Merghany and calling him names.
Zamalek officials went to stop the attack on Merghany taking him away with blood covering his face as a result of what happened, his lip was injured as well as a black eye and body marks all over his body.
Merghany commented through media that Zamalek officials did not stand by him in his situation, on the contrary they convenced him on signing a piece keeping document with officers had beaten him.

During a telephone conversation, professor Amer, Zamalek president had reviled that Zamalek is in great need for the efforts of his international player (Zaki) at this present moment to share with his fellow players the progress of the club performance if he choose to come back home.
Professor Amer had told Zamalek toolbar that Wigan had offered to have Zaki on permanent basis but their offer was far less than all expectations, while Zaki’s manager kept receiving very promising offers from clubs at all English, Italian and Spanish premium leagues.
Zaki 24 year’s old plays for Wigan on loan basis from Zamalek FC of Egypt for one season 2008-2009, had performed fantastically over this year, achieving a good position for Wigan at the English premium league by scoring 10 goals at first half of this season before having an injury which took him away from games.
Zaki had scored his country’s only goal in the match between Egypt and Zambia last month within the African qualifiers for the World Cup qualifiers, South Africa, 2010, the match that Zaki had an injury which will keep him away from games for at least three weeks by Doctors orders, which Wigan officials did not like and start throwing the player with false claims of him been careless and unprofessional trying to hold a show on Zaki to decrease his price down in order for them to buy him cheap.

Shekabala & Merghany celebrating the wining goal
Zamalek first football team succeeded in preventing a goal down for Olympic club in the first half to a victory in the second half, after a strong and exciting game played by the "New" Zamalek team which dominated the game and scored twice by the great skills of Zamalek youth players.
The first half ended with one goal ahead for Olympic scored by Saeed Murad after nine minutes, in the second half Sabri Rahiel -Zamalek new player - scored a tremendous goal after 35 minutes, Shikabala added a second goal after only two minutes.
The first half was one side game, Although Zamalek controlled the field but Olympic early goal, after nine minutes, discompose Zamalek, particularly as the Olympic impose strict control over Zamalek key players, and dominated the midfield through the intensity of players which spoiled Zamalek chances.
In the second half when the technical stuff made some successful substitutions with Shikabala and Ahmed Abdul Rauf, Zamalek improved performance, and began rapidly and breakthroughs in the construction of the attack, and in the first minute, Sheriff Ashraf ball hit the post.On the other hand, Olympic played with great defense, and focused on counter-attack and succeeded in closing the road to the goal, however, Zamalek new star Sabri Rahiel hit the target with a tremendous shoot from about 30 meters that declared Zamalek first goal at the 36 minute and zamalek kept the pressure on after the goal scoring the second goal just after two minutes with a great skill by Shikabala.

Sherif Ashraf celebrating his first Goal
With a great performance and a higher level of the "youth players" Zamalek
managed to win Egyptian Army Club "Al-Gaish" four goals to two, at the
twenty-third week of the Premier League.
Goals Scored by Sheriff Ashraf (two
goals) in the minutes 10 and 57, and Abdel-Halim Ali at 63 minute and Shikabala
at 83 minute , and for Gaish Salah Amin, at 47 minute, Amer Sabri from a
penalty kick at 73 minute .
Zamalek win made the loyal fans not only
happy for the game result but for the level of the outstanding "Youth" players
who led the meeting, with the spirit, high-speed and fitness,
which proved that Zamalek has a great base of young players may be superior to
the Egyptian gold mine for the young players - club Ismaili - based on the
talents and skills of Zamalek young players.
The Swiss coach De Castel
took advantage of the spirit of the fresh young players to turn the
game in favor of Zamalek with the three Hazem Imam, Ahmed Merghany and Alaa Ali,
also the great performance of Sabri Rahil on the left side, with the excellence
and brilliance of the great young striker Sharif Ashraf, who succeeded in
leading his team to the forefront twice, especially the second goal which
considered one of his most beautiful and most important goals with Zamalek until
now.
Match witnessed the return of Abdul Halim on scoring,
and the return of the effectiveness Shikabala in the few minutes he took part,
but the defence line has been badly unorganized by the absence of essential
elements and the lake of confidence, which became clear on the
few chances for Army club on Zamalek target.
The result brings the balance of Zamalek to 30 points
while Gaish stuck on 29 points.

Hazem Emam Jr. - Man of the match
In a good level game Zamalek played well but lost
the final result.
Al-Haras Club "Border guards" beat Zamalek with two goals to
one in the match which played at "Almaks" stadium in Alexandria, a large number
of Zamalek fans attended and stood behind its beloved team encouraging and
supporting Zamalek team until the end of the game.
Zamalek led the first
half in a negative performance, controlling the field without true chances on target.
While "border guards" scored two goals from the only two true chances they got in the full game,
Ahmed Abdel-Ghani,
scored the first goal for Guards with a direct free kick, and Abdel-Hamid
Bassiouni scored the second goal with a tremendous head.
In the second half, Zamalek with technical changes
started to be more effective on target.
The turning point in the performance
of Zamalek was when Ahmed Ghanem substituted with Hazem Emam Jr. - the talented
youth right midfielder, where attacks have stepped up and Zamalek missed several
easy opportunities to score until Sharif Ashraf - Zamalek youth striker- scored
the only goal by a double assist from Ala'a Ali and Hazem Emam Jr. in a goal was
produced by the club's youth team, which is represented by these players
Zamalek, missed another two goals after this goal by a shot
by Hani Said, and a head of Ala'a Ali , the fans supported those youth players
at the end after they marked improvement in performance despite the
defeat.

Ahmed Merghany - Man of the match
Zamalek first football team achieved an important win tonight over Ennpi with one goal to nil winning a three
precious points in the game, which held at Cairo
International Stadium in the twentieth first week of the
Egyptian Premier league
Zamalek showed a Hugh difference with the substitutes and youth players that played
very well and preformed great in the first win under the leadership of the Swiss
coach De Castel.
Zamalek only goal was scored by the Egyptian international defender Hany Saeed at the 31 minute of the second half.
by this result Zamalek reached 27 points with the eighth position
in the table, while Enppi frozen at 36 points in the third
place.
Zamalek played with a new formation, the team squad for this game were Abdul Wahid Alsayed as the goalkeeper, Mahmoud Fathallah ,
Amr Adel and Amr El Safety in the defense line, Mohammed Abdullah as a right midfielder and Sabry Rahiel as a left midfielder. Hani Said, Ahmed Elmarghani and
Ala'a Ali in the center midfield, Sheriff Ashraf and Abdul-Halim Ali in attack line.
